Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Movie Magic!!

Mood: Euphoric
Listening to: Enter Sandman :Metallica
Reading: HULK: Red & Green
Watching: Spiderman Animated Series CN
Playing: Dungeon Siege II
Eating: Pizza Hut Viva Lasagna
Drinking: Coke Zero

Man its been a real blast these couple of months! And probably the most times in those months that I have been into the movies!! There were incredible ones and disappointing ones. When I was watching Star Trek during the movie my inner trekkie self was saying how the heck are they gonna fix this mess until I finally concluded they're not its a whole new thing! And damn it works for me!!! Another movie I happened to go to was X-Men Origins: Wolverine it was okay and exciting though a little too snug where it perfectly fits with the X-Men 1 movie. Though I was wishing for more screen time for DeadPool hehehehe. A bit of a disappointment for Terminator Salvation. I thought it was really deep into the war where the resistance finally took over skynet (An epic ala Return of the King grand battle between humans and machines). And then there was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Man that was way cool!!! There were a little lame plot lines (especially the twins hehehe) but man when Optimus says " I'll take you all on!!" it still gives me goosebumps from my childhood self watching the generation-1 movie where Optimus says "Megatron must be stopped no matter the cost!" My honorary salute to Micheal Bay.

For some of you who have been following my StarWars FanComics, hehehe its not because I've been in movies that I wasn't able to update, I've been actually very busy with my full time work. Pulling overnighters and chasing deadlines *whew* but finally got some downtime and pulled of some pages!!
